Summary
The Lockbox Floater is a versatile team member responsible for providing support across various functions within the Lockbox processing department. This role requires flexibility and adaptability as the Lockbox Floater will perform different positions based on operational needs. The ideal candidate will assist in sorting mail, opening mail, processing payments, handling documents, and ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist in daily processing of lockbox payments, ensuring accuracy in data entry and document handling.
- Perform various tasks including sorting, mail opening, scanning, preparing documents for processing, rejects, and packaging.
- Become proficient in multiple roles within the lockbox department including data entry and quality control.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge of lockbox operations.
- Provide support whenever needed throughout the lockbox processing floor, adapting to changing priorities and workflow demands.
- Fill in for absent team members, ensuring continuity of operations during peak periods or staff shortages.
- Maintain accurate records of daily production and processing volumes.
- Monitor and/or ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations, including adhering to all company policies, procedures, and regulations regarding data security and privacy.
Qualifications
- Prior Lockbox experience is a must.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and accuracy in performing tasks.
- Position requires good communication skills. Must be able to prioritize and follow directions both verbal and in writing according to customer specifications.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards and customer deadlines while working both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be flexible with their schedule and able to perform a variety of tasks during the shift and demonstrate the ability to move from one task to another easily in a high production environment.
- The position may require standing / sitting for extended periods of time, handling sensitive documents, and must be able to lift 25 pounds.
